Ava did not know through the years that her father had Russian connections and why he travelled so much. She thought he was traveling writer. Her mother was in a care facility due to dementia. Families are killed and Caden and Ava are investigating until Ava is in trouble with her dad that was presumed dead.
I love a suspenseful story and that is exactly on that trail 100%. She has a way of entwining God throughout the story that prayer was not answered always what the characters wanted but what God wanted.
